Mother’s Day 2009

This year, in combination with the DSDS finale I stayed at my Mom’s house overnight. Sunday morning my little sister woke me up (ah, not enough sleep) and we prepared a Mother’s Day breakfast. It was so hot, really like a summer’s day, so we were able to prepare the table on the patio.
Just recently I bought an iPod Touch 2G and with it I’m able to use the W-LAN internet at my mom’s house…so my sister and I sat outside with the iPod and watching videos on youtube on how to fold napkins…isn’t this crazy? I mean, doing something old-fashioned like folding napkins to roses, but watch the instructions on a little black Wi-Fi gadget. I love living in this times where old and new can be connected in such a cool and useful way!

After a long breakfast we went to a nearby fleamarket and shortly after it was time for our guests to arrive (my grandma, aunt and cousin). We had a wonderful day on the patio and in the garden, like I said it felt like midsummer! We had fresh strawberry cake and a barbecue in the evening. I was ablte to simply sit in a chair and read a book (I would have never believed those simple things can feel so important and relaxing).

I really enjoyed that day and hope my Mom was happy to have all her children around. It’s not that often at the moment that I can go and see her…I don’t have a car and the train round-trip ticket is 14,00€. So each time I want to see her I have to pay 14,00€ though it’s not that far, can you believe that? I love my Mom and I miss her so much!

Keines, ich bevorzuge auch ein geruchsneutrales Deo

Milow – Ayo Technology (das singe ich zur Zeit ständig vor mich hin)

‚Auf Immer und Ewig‘ mit meiner geliebten Drew Barrymore

4. Was ist dein Highlight des Tages:
Zur Zeit…hm…wahrscheinlich immer mein Schatz, der einzige Lichtblick in all dem Fiasko

5. Was willst du unbedingt lernen?
Endlich fließend Japanisch zu sprechen, Französich, Cello, Stricken und den Haushalt gut zu führen (Hausmütterchenalarm)

6. Was hast du zuletzt gekauft?
Lebensmittel (Spargel grün und weiß, Erdbeeren, Karotten)

7. Was ist dein Lieblingswetter?
Ich kann Sommersonne genau so viel abgewinnen wie verregneten, stürmischen Herbsttagen…vorausgesetzt ich bin bei letzteren zu Hause und kann es mir bei Tee gemütlich machen

8. Was ist momentan dein wichtigstes Ziel?
6 Monate Japan im Herbst (yamasa.org), die Zwischenprüfung in Anglistik bestehen, finanziell überleben

9. Was denkst du über die Person, die dich getaggt hat?
siehe oben, aber Sari ist einfach so lieb und wir sind uns schon immer ähnlich, das ist schön ^^

10. Wenn du ein komplett eingerichtetes Haus irgendwo in der Welt bezahlt bekommen würdest, wo würdest du es hin haben wollen?
Skandinavien, Kroatien oder USA

11. Was würdest du, wenn du könntest, an dir ändern?
Mein Gewicht und meine Unzuverlässigkeit

Liebend gern in einer tollen Großstadt wie London, New York, Tokyo shoppen…doch ich habe Halsweh und muss warten bis die Handwerker kommen…also am liebsten im Bett

13. Was ist dir bei Freunden wichtig?
Dass sie mich so mögen wie ich bin und sich für mich interessieren, ich bin es leid ausgenützt und als Seelenmülleimer benutzt zu werden

Gelten auch tote Personen? Allen voran vielleicht Berte Bratt

15. Welches ist dein absolutes Lieblingspaar Schuhe?
Meine Deichmann Flip Flop, deren Riemchen aus Stoff sind und somit niemals Wasserblasen verursachen

Wenn ich das wüsste…Bücher schreiben undd das SAT.1 Frühstücksfernsehen moderieren (das wäre im Moment mein größter Traum *seufz*)

Ayumi Hamasaki, Backstreet Boys, *N Sync (wieso finde ich es nach so vielen Jahren immernoch peinlich?)

Mein Schatz, Regina Regenbogen-Kassetten (allem voran das Pferd Sternschnuppe mit seiner *räusper* bescheidenen Art), das Sat.1 Frühstücksfernsehen ^^

Yesterday I’ve been to Star Trek – The Movie…the new movie of course (don’t remind me of the original first Start Trek Movie *shudder*) and in contrast to my expectations I loved it. Well, I’m still not to fond of Chris Pine as James T. Kirk and that guy who’s supposed to be Chekov, but besides that, the movie is great. I recognized only some small logical mistakes (like Uhura ordering some Cardassian drinks…we don’t know the Cardassians so far) and I can accept those. It’s young, refreshing, there’s some good action and the first ten minutes of the film touched me more than anything Start Trek before has ever done (it might have been there was a little teardrop running down my cheek).

I really want to see more of that young crew, more movies? – Yes! A series – why not?

Just a last comment on Eric Bana, he’s just not the bad guy for me. No matter what clothes he wears, what hairstyle, there are alyways those puppy eyes ^^ I haven’t seen any other movie with him before, but I already love him for playing Henry in ‚The Time Traveler’s Wife‚. When is that movie going to be released in Germany???

Has anyone else seen Star Trek or read The Time Traveler’s Wife by Audrey Niffenegger?

Monday Morning

It’s monday morning and monday means my first free day of the week. stop…don’t think I’m lazy. I really neeed some free time to learn and keep my household running. or I will alaways end up like yesterday and clean my bathroom on sunday evenings.

Having another day before the week really starts gives me the feeling of escaping, at least for another day, for some hours. No, my university and job life isn’t always fun, i wonder when it had been fun for the last time…in the first semester? Still I keep fighting, I just realized again it’s no option for me to give up and forget about studying. I have to finish all of this before I can go on. You don’t have some spare money…let’s say 10.000 € you could give me as a present? No? I thought so.

But a small amount of money doesn’t mean I cannot live at all anymore. There’s always some left to be creative and give little presents to the persons I love…like my little easter nests here. They were filled with delicious marzipan/chocolate eggs sorted by colour. every nest had something special attached like the oishii Ferrero Rondnoir or a Hello Kitty PEZ dispenser for my little sister ^^

How did all of you spend the Easter holidays? Did you go abroad, spend it with your families or alone? Did you hide your eggs or haven’t received any at all?

There’s a Japanese translation to do, not to speak of Charles Dickens‘ Oliver Twist that wants to be read for my English literature exam. Hm, the craftsmen on the first floor of my apartment house seem to have stopped their annoying, loud work. This means I have no excuse NOT to learn anymore.

The End/Beginning of an Era

If I don’t get it wrong it’s been over five years now I’ve been owner of schildmaid.de…I am the schildmaid. Finally I’ve moved on. As a christmas present to myself, after years of waiting for the domain to be free, I proudly present myself on schildmaid.NET with a new blog and a new system behind it. WordPress is taking over the net so I had to try it out and so far I like what I see. I’m not into designing themes for it by now but I will be in the near future and the present one is just gorgeous.

So it’s still me with my two lovely dwarf bunnies on board and an exciting new future on the web. I can’t wait to write for you and especially hear from you! Love, Mina
