Finished Project: Speedy Cabled Berret

And another quick project I finished within two hours on a lazy Saturday afternoon. I needed a hat, you know? And I had two skeins of the Ragazza Lei in purple left. But I wasn’t able to knit in rounds.

So, what to do? Use ravelry’s super useful pattern search and look for a hat that is knitted flat. And with 12 mm needles. What I found was a pattern for a speedy cabled beret by Paulina Chin. And after two hours my new hat was finished (^^)v

Of course I ran out of yarn three rows from the end AGAIN! But I’ve got one skein of Austermann’s Bombolo which is horrible to work with and doesn’t seem to knit or crochet into anything beautiful. BUT finally, I had use for it and  it gave a nice finishing touch to my beret.

Finished Project: wham bam thank you lamb! neckwarmer

Well, I have to admit that pictures are horrible. But they were taken in a rush when I was actually sick in bed with a cold….so, please concentrate on the wham bam thank you lamb! neckwarmer I made in one evening (while watching friends nonstop) from two skeins of the wonderful Ragazza Lei yarn by Lana Grossa. I used 10 mm needles, cast on 20 stitches and followed this pattern.

All you have to do is knit, row after row. What makes the cowl so special is the way the ends are seamed together. A very „satisfying“ quick porject.
