Today is the start of Sari’s Project Going Out for September, a good opportunity to take a walk and make a short visit to our local yarn store. I wanted to check out the available assortment and was suprised what a sweet little shop I’ve got here right in the small town where I live. While in most of the big department stores in Munich (and even yarn shops in the city) all you can buy are yarns by Schachenmayr and – if you’re lucky – Lana Grossa, my local store sells yarns by all kind of „exotic“ brands (in the sense that from my experience you have to go hunting for them).
So I treated myself to one skein of Zitron Nimbus (color 20): 100% organic new wool (Merino). The real color is so much more beautiful than any picture could show and it’s so soft to the hands while you’re knitting.
I bought it to realize a pair of pulse warmers from the Vampire Knits book I got recently. This will be my first project marked as intermediate. I’m tired of making scarfs, scarfs and even more scarfs So, pluse warmers it is, with some increasing and cables. I’m super excited and even made a gauge (I’m always to lazy for that, but it showed I need to use smaller needles than the ones in the pattern).
Are you in the mood to follow me on my adventures into knitting land?Alles Liebe,
